The secret to a happy life is revealed by Frank (90) from Manchester "wine, women, and fitness!" The secret to a happy life is revealed by Maurice(81) from St Kilda, Victoria "toast with lashings of butter, and of course plenty of sex!" Who would have thought you could do it on toast?! LOL

Content, joyful, blissful, cheerful, glad, happy, grateful, abundance?

Everyone has an idea or opinion about what are the ingredients for a happy life. Of course, no one can really know the secret to a happy life, but I find when I read what works for other people it inspires me to live a happier life. I am a tour guide, and for the past 2 years I have kept a little note book that I invite my guests to make an entry in, if they feel inspired to do so. I also ask staff at various venues we visit on tour to contribute to it from time to time. When ever I feel 'not quite right' with the world, I peruse my little book and have a ponder at the wonderful words within. The title of the little notebook is "The Secret to a Happy Life is Revealed By...."

Many of the beliefs and attitudes of these wonderful people in my little notebook resonate with me.
